I’ve been using their Ultrac Vorti summer tyres on the X6 for about 8 years with no issues up to now (fingers crossed) - great all round performance, I love them.
Struggled to get the rears last time I needed some though, had to order from Italy as no UK suppliers had them.

Re: 'Best' tyres (X6)
I’ve been running Vredestein Ultrac Vorti’s on my X6 for the last 5 years with no problems at all.
Just about ready for a new set and will stick with them if possible, unless they’ve been superseded by the Quatrac, in which case I’ll give them a try.

Re: Who's using 20" Staggered NON Runflats on their XDrive and getting away with it?
When I got my X6 in early 2015 the first thing I did was replace the runflats with Vredestein Ultrac Vorti’s. I’m now on my second set of them and touch wood have had no issues with transmission or anything else.

Re: Angel Eyes Intermittent??
Sounds like the battery’s on its way out. I had the same thing on my X6 for about the last 6 months, none of my lights would come on when I unlocked the car & I would get ‘Increased Battery Drain’ alerts. As Alan says certain systems shut down when the battery is low to save power for starting the ca ...

Re: New Battery
Had a look on the labelling but couldn’t find any indication that it was AGM.
Thanks for the help - will give the Exide a try.

Re: New Battery
Cheers for the reply, mines around the same age. It fires up fine but seems to shut off certain options when it recognises low charge state - stuff like the lights don’t come in when I unlock the car etc. I’ve got the Carly app & adaper so no problem with the coding. So presumably it’s ok to replace ...

New Battery
The X6 has started to show ‘increased battery discharge’ so I’m thinking the battery’s getting weak - has anyone replaced the original battery, and if so what with? The original one doesn’t say if it’s an AGM so I’m unsure if I need to go for an AGM or not. Also, the original is 900CCA but all the re ...

Re: Dpf stats review
John_o, how did you get to display that last more detailed set of parameters? I've got the Carly stuff but can't seem to find anything more than the basic 4 parameters for DPF?
Thanks
Phil

Re: Vredestein Ultra Vorti Tyres on the front...
I've had 20" Ultrac Vorti's on my X6 since last June (ish) when I ditched the runflats and I have to say I'm well impressed with them (even though they aren't * rated so I guess I'm taking a risk). Grip is excellent in wet & dry, wearing well and they are much quieter (and obviously less harsh) than ...

Re: Detailing
I guess a lot depends on the car colour - black suffers from swirls/holograms worse than say silver or grey. If you can save cash getting it looking good with just claying, polishing and sealing then that's a great result but I couldn't get mine to the standard the detailer did using that method (I ...

I had a full paint correction job done on my Sapphire Black X6 last summer (if you do a search I think there's an early topic about it).
Cot me £500 and the guy did a great job - results were excellent.
I'm in Leeds so can't recommend anyone in London.

Re: locked my keys in the boot! any tricks on getting in to my x5
If you've got a BMW warranty (and therefore BMW assist) give them a call - they can get in no problem. I did the exact me thing not long after I got my E53 - I didn't have a BMW warranty but knew the dealer sales manager, who gave me the number of one of the BMW Assist guys. He came out to me and ...
