witter towbar cabling

Post by jeegnesh » Mon Jun 09, 2014 2:33 pm

Greetings as the summer is here, I need to wire up the electric socket that came with the witter towbar, but don't have any decent guides or pics to do so.

Anyone have any pics, or tips on the wiring side?

Man Flu eh?  The warmth will break the fever... :P

Jig, have a look on the PF Jones website.  They may have what you need.  Though if you're busy, get your secretary (Sanjita) to do it for you..... >:D

Thanks Richard will check that out tomorrow.

Ok so I might have made the mistake with 'I' but I just assumed it was common knowledge that I was getting the info for my engineer.

Love that Sanjita

OK Sanj found something for you: http://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bar-electrics.html its 7 pin

So leaves the one marked R, also got the paper that shadrack drew which has a few bits too, so maybe the two together might make sense.

So one more bit of info required. I need the wiring diagram for the plug of wires I need to splice the electric unit into.

Anyone has or pointers to places that may have?

After that Sanjita's got an electric date

R im sure was unused, or could be reverse light as some modern trailers have them however 95% dont have them.

bmw side can all be done with the light conector and a tester or ill have a look now :)
