Hi Malc

It's the bracket that fixes the front self levelling headlight sensor to the lower wishbone/control arm.

The two part bracket (top of picture) should be fixed round the wishbone.  The black bit at the bottom of the picture is part of the plastic arm that has snapped. If you look at the suspension set up behind the front drivers side alloy you'll see a small cube shaped sensor with the remaining part of the plastic arm dangling from it.

Hi Philt, thanks for your reply
Can you just buy the metal arm and the plastic arm that goes into the sensor or do you think I'll have to buy a new sensor as well is it a stealer part only,

If you can't fix it you may be able to buy the metal arm, not sure to be honest. The plastic arm is part of the sensor.

I had a similar problem, though mine was just the plastic arm that had snapped same as yours. I used a strip of metal (meccano like) to plate it, put one end on the bolt at the side of the little plastic bit and screwed the other end to the plastic arm on the sensor.

Have been looking on the net for over 4hr and a new sensor with the plastic arm is £38 , I will take the sensor off to see if I can repair the arm but I have my doubts as it's broken at the very end, couldn't find anyone selling the small metal drop arm so will try and get one from the stealer at the weekend as mine is corroded and seized
