It's going shit. The plug in the rear found power and ground, but after that the rest of the wires are doing nothing.

Only way got light board working is connecting indicator wire from behind indicator direct to tow bar electric socket. So there a lot more testing to go.

As per usual decided to use own method install, first the block on the car was doing nothing as far as we could tell.  Second we could not see any use for the relay I pictured earlier other then the fact it added a whole load more wires.  So decided to wire the 7 PIN directly to the back of the indicator plugs left and right and forget the relay.

All working fine, only downside is when the lighting board is plugged in I get check brake lights message on the OBD even though it works fine, probably as the power draw has changed, but I can live with that as the board only used when transporting bikes.

Finally another project over.

I sincerely hope your mechanic trimmed those bare ends back.....or did he leave you with at least some part of the install apart from tea making and generally advising...... O:-) :))

Damn you must've been watch from afar!!! He made all the teas and did some work!

Not happy about by-passing the black box but time and at least 27C left us with no option. Will work out getting this fitted properly when we have time.

Next the amp thump on start up!??
