Hi
Just bought a 2005 X5 3.0d (from somewhere too far away for convenient return of vehicle)
I detected the PDC was not working on test drive and the seller had the PDC module replaced. Worked fine at first but now playing up with continuous beeps and light flashing until switched off. Just occasionally works OK. I have read it is possible to unplug front or rear sensors to localize problem. If I isolate the faulty section will the other part work?
I cannot see any sign of module in boot. Is it under the spare wheel?
Thanks for any advice

PDC problems
Re: PDC problems
sounds like you have sensors playing up,when reverse is selected if you listen to each one,put a screwdriver to it and the other end to your ear,you should be able to hear them clicking,no click means its faulty, all can be replaced easily enuff on the e53,I have bought mine off ebay in the past.Sometimes they only work intermittently or will only click very faintly. If one fails the pdc light flashes and gives a continous beep
