Low power

Post by cameronrobyn » Wed Aug 13, 2014 8:42 pm

Just had my injectors replaced.  Driving it back today it just seems so sluggish. No pick up at all.  Is there something that they might have forgotten to do?  It does pose the question was the car tuned before I bought it.  How can I tell?  Would BMW have to do something to retune it.  How can I tell.  I am going to call them.

I have been driving a 530, 258 bhp.  Mine is 218bhp, 3.0 d 2006, would driving the 258 make mine feel sluggish?

Check the vacuum connections have all been replaced.  Lack of power may be a hose left off by the mechanic - would not be the first time!  It usually means the turbo isn't running properly.

Look particularly at the connections to the vacuum bottle - the device in the lower left corner of the picture.

If it is the MID unit rather than the TFT Screen unit then yes

Dont think the Screen version would fit in the glove box?
O:-)
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)
