Gear box help!!!

Hi all,

Sadly my first post here is a problem

Had my x5 for  2 weeks, it's a automatic 2004 3.0 d sport

Started off when driving At 35-45 mph at around 1600rpm the gearbox would "hiccup". Someone suggested I reset the adaptive memory (using an odb tool) since then the hiccup has gone but I am left with a bigger problem of when I slow down and stop I get a jolt half a second after I have stopped.

Doesn't happen when in sports mode.

Any ideas?

Very common issue.  Called the 'lurch'.  You could try going to a ZF specialist, or a Bosch Autocentre with 'Autologic' and have your firmware updated.  It might fix it.  Some do, some don't.
