yet another pdc topic :)

Post by Ryoken » Mon Oct 13, 2014 3:17 am

still cant get these damn things to work , , ive been doing some reading on the forums, and alot of people are saying use the bmw scanner to test which sensors are faulty , ive not seen this function in the pdc part, ??
any one tried this?

sercondly would some nice person , that has front and rear pdc + a bmw 1.4.0 , read the programming data from the  pdc, and post what the default settings should be,
EG , front tone or gong,  etc. as im not sure if some ones played with mine , reason why i ask is all my sensors are working , and all im getting is frong gong turned off?.
(when i do have the wire connected to the gong i do just get a continous tone)
(ALL pdc sensors are clicking). but if its right you can test the sensors with bmw scanner, then that will help.
plus ive seen quite a few pdc modules on ebay,  with alot of different part numbers, are these interchangeable to a point or do i definatly needs the same part number as the one in the boot ( white one :))

sleepy time :)

Scanner 1.4.0 showed center right rear as a fault changed it still no difference so I started checking connections. Unplugged everything and sprayed liberally with contact cleaner and all working for about 3 months, so I guess is damp getting in somewhere causing corrosion. Not essential as I have a rear view camera.
