I've had a couple of screen chips repaired over the last couple of years but got a larger one last week. my insurer sent out Autoglass who have decided to replace it next week. - is there anything that they are likely to cock up that I should watch out for ?

Leaks
Scratches to the paint around the opening that could lead to corrosion under the sealant
insufficient sealing around the periphery.
insufficient removal, and subsequent cleaning, of the old sealant.
Windscreen not seated correctly.
Foot prints on the dashboard..... (hopefully not!)
If they do the job properly then none of them should be an issue

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

If you have auto lights/wipers make sure it is the right screen BEFORE they cut it off the car! There are two types of sensor which have different shapes and must be fitted to the right screen mount.
Autoglass tried the wrong one on mine and scraped the sensor mount off to try to refit it to the new screen. That doesn't work!
If you have a 'climate comfort' screen, make sure it's the right one too. It has a slight metallic sheen when seen from the outside.
If your current screen is OEM (made by Semperit) then check the part number against RealOEM. Or check your build sheet specs.

all it says on the build sheet is Windscreen, green tinted upper strip. It does separately mention a rain sensor. The screen is listed (on the build sheet) as Code - S345A which I don't think it an actual part number ?

Sounds like the normal tinted screen with a sun and at the top, plus a rain sensor mount. Yours being a 2004 it will most likely have a rectangular sensor. The earlier version had rounded ends and the two types are not interchangeable nor are the screens.
The part number is on the screen itself. The number you gave is just the option code from the factory.
