rear air suspension stuck high up

Post by rickyholder » Tue Mar 17, 2015 7:25 am

I know this will have been asked thousands of times but I'm at work so haven't time to look through them,  the rear suspension is stuck up in the air, if I removed the air from the system would this lower it and then go back to normal when i restart the car

Hi Ricky, and welcome to a quite forum ;-)

Worth letting some of the pressure out of your system to check, but sounds like an iffy sensor somewhere if it's not levelling properly. I take it there are no faults being displayed on the dash?

Hi Ricky,
If the rear end is jacked up evenly both sides, then your second reply may well be right re a sensor fault, though I doubt BOTH levelling sensors would fail at the same time - unheard of....

My money would be on one for the following...
1 - the Valve block is jammed open allowing air to flood to both rear air-bags ...
2 - the valve regulator electrical module is faulty (more likely)

Suggestion,
mail me privately with a full postal address (AND a contact number) & I will send you a sample syringe of the specific silicone oil that the o-ring seal manufacturers coat the seals with.
You can easily remove the valve block from the pump & apply the oil - I will tell you how to do this.
It will cost you nothing and may solve the problem, then if it does not work, the fault lies with the control module which you can find on e-bay for about £80 ish.
Regards
