2004 D-Sport centre console cubby box removal ?

centre console cubby box removal ...

How do you get the plastic tub out of the Centre Console ?
I want to access some wiring underneath it...

I lifted the little rubber matt from the bottom, assuming there would be some screws, but NOTHING.

I jemmy'd the edges gently & they lift, and I'm assuming the tub simply pops in & its a pop-out part, but don't want to risk breaking the part ...

Any clues any one ??

If its like the pre facelift then it is a firm pull up.
No fixings but a pain to get a grip on..
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

got it....
And YES, its a real bugger...

I wanted to hook an Audio Line-In in the hope I could feed music from my mobile fone into the vehicle systems... but it seems it will only talk to I-fones...

So, is your wife under the back lawn yet Steamy ???

Are you sure it was an audio install and not your pyro????

:))

There is a way to run any audio through it.
You can add an aux input lead to it.

If you have nav then it is relatively easy as you plug a lead in the rear of the head unit.

If not nav then you can break into the CD audio lines and feed headphone output to it.
I have the latter and have put a switch in to select aux or CD.

And nope.  Wifey is all good this end.
