power mirror, q

Post by Ryoken » Wed Jun 03, 2015 7:32 pm

after some nice person on Saturday side swiped my car and  broke the mirror I have decided to have a go and finally fix my power window function.

the drivers mirror retracts then straight away pops back out again , I suppose this is normal .

the passenger one just sits there and does nothing.

now I got my daughter today to press the little retract button, and there is no noise from the passenger mirror at all .

so I don't think its the gearbox. motor?.

any ideas

Interesting. i wonder why they fit the button if they don't fit the motor. I have the same. And I wonder why your mirror retracts if it is non powered ?

It was probably replaced some time ago with the non powered one most likely due to price??

I can definitely tell mine aren't...

Mine was clouted 3 times last week so have had a good look at the insides!!!
