drivers footwell dripping water

Post by fenj66 » Thu Jul 02, 2015 9:39 pm

hi all, ive had a rather musty smell in the car this week, on further inspection, and helped by  heavy rain at the time, ive found a soggy front carpet and i can see water dripping down from the bottom of the fascia near to the obd port.  :(

has anyone else come across this problem or know what the cause is likely to be?

cheers

I had this problem after having the windscreen replaced, they had to come and refit it.

Hmm..I'm still on the original screen with no signs of obvious damage.

It's morph'd into a Land Rover why you weren't looking.

Could be a blocked roof drain, or screen scuttle drain.

yes, indeed, it turned out to be a blocked pano roof drain, the rubber outlet under the front drivers door (near the jacking point) was full of black crud and was back filling up into the car. a quick poke of a finger up the hole ( :'( ) was all that was needed to get it clear again, now to dry out the carpet and hope the smell goes. cheers all
