Hi guys,
Do you know where can I find the locking wheel nut in my x5 (e53, 2004)? I think I checked everywhere...
Thanks!

Locking wheel nut location?
Re: Locking wheel nut location?
Mine was in the boot near the spare wheel in the plastic mould, some may be in a little tool wallet. The BMW dealers have all possible ones in a kit and can order you one if needed, incase you can't find it

Re: Locking wheel nut location?
It should be in a special socket to the right side of the boot under the carpet.
As above, Dealers will be able to get you a spare at about £30

Re: Locking wheel nut location?
Thanks for the responses guys, I've had a proper look and I'm 100% sure it's not there.
I've ordered a genuine set of locking wheel nuts with key but they are slightly too big (1-2mm), it's the same pattern though. My worry is that the ones I have are not standard, what do you think?

As stated there are several different sorts of splined shaped locking bolts /keys.
You needn't have bought a set, just take the car to the dealers, they will try their master set to see which one fits your original locking bolts, and either sell you that one or order a new one for you. :'(
