I know Pagid are often reccomended as a cheaper alternative with ECPs constant discounts, I'm just wondering how people are finding them in terms of performance and longevity ?
The Brake lines need doing on ours and the discs/pads are getting towards the end of their life so thinking I'll get the lot done together.

Re: Pagid Vs genuine discs/pads
I did my rear discs and pads a few months ago, I can't remember the make of them but they were from euro car parts?
They are the cheapest ones they do and the complete set cost £114, I'm being honest when I say that the car still stops on a pin and can't imagine any other brands making any or much difference to these cheapo's I fitted in normal day to day driving,I toyed with the idea of buying brembo I think at the time but a few months on I'm glad I saved my money, 8,000 miles in on this set and the discs still look excellent and the pads look great still too.

Re: Pagid Vs genuine discs/pads
Cheers guys, I've spent most of the day scouring the net. Managed to get genuine rear discs/pads for £100 and front discs/pads for £170.
ECPs were £202 for pagids with the extra 10% discount code, so I'm quite happy with just £70 more for genuine BMW stuff.

Re: Pagid Vs genuine discs/pads
My X5 & Golf TDi MKiv currently have pagid brakes & Disc.
What I have noticed on both cars is that the rear discs have bad corrosion on (some part of ) the surface where the pads should be making contact with the discs. Fronts on both cars are absolutely fine
The likely culprit is likely to be pads. Even though they wear slowly, a small section of the outer edge wears out quickly hence causing the disc rust. I can remember getting those issues when I had orig bmw parts or Jurid parts for the Golf Anyone notice this?

Re: Pagid Vs genuine discs/pads
I have exactly the same as well as a huge lip on front discs, didn't mention it in 1st post as I didn't want to sway opinion but these Pagids have done less than half the mileage the factory parts did.

Re: Pagid Vs genuine discs/pads
I bought a full set of vented slotted & drilled disks, with RED-STUFF pads,
the result was absolutely fabulous, excellent wet/dry braking, that gets better the harder you break... no brake fade EVER, and the hotter the pads get - the better the braking....
Amazing...
