Heater Controls - roasting or freezing

Post by X5-D-Sport » Wed Nov 25, 2015 7:20 pm

Gents...
Until recently My AC worked only when rolling, due to the AC RAD fan being dead.
Recently, the AC appears to have quit altogether... but with a twist..
Regardless of whether the AC is switched on or not, any heat setting of 17' or more results in roasting hot air from the vents.

When set to 16' it is slightly cooled with the AC on, but not much.

The AC pump clutch is engaging OK & spinning the pump just fine, the AC system is holding good pressure.
The vehicles water coolant is at a good level.... and all appears ok....
Just getting tired of being dry roasted or cold.... never any happy medium.

Any clues any one ?

My guess is that there is a cabin temp sensor that's died, or some other dead switch some place ?

No one got any ideas why my heaters are either flat out roasting or humid cold & tepit...??

Any temp setting above 17' & the cabin is roasting... regardless of AC on or off.
