Parking Sensor - unusual failure...

Post by X5-D-Sport » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:39 pm

Parking sensors Front & Rear have failed suddenly...
Whereby there is simply a constant tone, as if 5 inches from contact.. then eventually it stops and nothing will trigger the sensors into doing any sensing - even tho the vehicle is reversing & the little light is on in the switch..

If switched Off at the button...then On again, the tone is constant again for a while...

Any one got any ideas ??

system is telling you its down.  If one fails, they all fail to prevent any possible accidents.  Switch them on manually then go round each sensor individually with your ear listening to each one.  Good sensors will be high pulse clicking sound, duff ones will be no clicking or weak poor clicks.  Find your duff sensor, replace with new.
