Re: Wheel spacers
I thought about wheel spacers on mine but I think25 mm is the min or I don't think you will notice. I was going to get those bolt on hub centric ones but can't be bothered now.

Re: Wheel spacers
I bought some 15mm Hubcentrics... in all honesty.. they are total crap beyond comprehension....
they had over 1mm slop on the hub centre & another 1mm slop on the wheel centre...
so sloppy that the vehicle was undrivable with wheel shake...
additionally the "so-called" experience "Modified"seller sent 40mm wheel bolts which only gave a 5mm thread bite...
Again.. even more lethal !
the Hubcentric spacers were poorly machined... with tragically soft aluminium, awfull machined finish too, with too fast a traverse of the cutting heads..
Eventually, I returned this junk & had a local engineering firm make some to my own drawing...
and they are perfect & not sloppy... and I bought some 45mm Wheel Bolts.. M14 x1.5mm threads... perfect.
I wouldnt allow Hubcentric junk near my car after this experience..
I have 4 matching wheels/tyres ie the original REAR wheels all round with 315 tyre width...
35mm spacers on the rear..
15mm spacers on front..
suspension raised 2" front & back with extended Braided brake pipes to cope with the extra travel...
added 3 degrees negative camber to the front struts by moving the strut tops inboard by 12mm from original position....
... giving -1 degree to prevent tyre scrub... and the additional -2 degrees to account for the camber change by raising the geometry & lower linkage.
My D-Sport drives like shes on rails & tall too with nice road presence & a good stance.
the spacers width + big wheels all round & raising the body 2" gives a perfect track width match all round, even suspension travel & ground pressure all round... AND the road handling as a result is better than I possibly wished for...
the road manners are superb for such a fat lady...
the ONE down side...
when you get out, you gotta use the side step - or fall out onto the street.. lol :'(

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)
