No not the step children lol been hearing annoying clunks etc at random times had all rear sus rebuilt rear coils and new shocks but still noises put some new screws in heat shields etc ......so today major investigation and what I found was the latch hooks on rear seats tailgate and boot lid metal to metal so trust black electricians tape tightly and neatly wrapped round all and my god silence something so bloody simple can you believe it  :)) :))

Use a decent tape with good adhesion

Rather than tape....
You could always adjust the latches to give a tighter closure on the tailgate & also reduce the leakage risks

I got a rattle under the RH side of my drivers seat, its as if there is a chunk of plastic swinging about...
Corner left & then right... and .... clonk.... cannot find the cause at all....
Emptied the car door pockets, hunted under the seat...
A year on and it still eludes me. I even stripped the drivers door incase it was some thing IN the door flopping about...

AND... if I found the cause... I'd apply yards & yards of tape to stop the dreaded "clonk"  :))

Have a look in the air outlet vents to the rear seat area, that are under the drivers seat.

Will do - good thinking, they are known to flop about - never thought of that one.
Thanks.
