The right thing?

Post by F302X5 » Fri Apr 08, 2016 10:23 pm

Please be gentle...
Having recently bought a cracking 2012 EBII 328i with all the extras...I am disappointed at the harsh ride and lack of presence.
I find myself drawn to an X5...
Will obviously sell the F30 and lose a chunk but looking to buy an X5
Will I regret the change?
Anything I need to consider
anyone else done the change
Cheers

What tyre size are running, I test drove an E92 on 19's with run flats. I turned back after a mile as the ride was unbearable.
I bought an E93 on 18s staggered setup on Msport suspension  which was better, but suffered a cracked rim after an altication with a pot hole.

The X5 is a great car but most go for the X6 as this looks a lot more menacing , agree about the runflats can cause a harsh ride especially if you are running 235/35/19 fronts , 265/30/19 rears . It might be worth trying a few cars out before splashing out on another car . if you bought yours from a dealer ask if they have anything that may fix the itch . M5 ?
