E83 Bluetooth pairing mode

Bmw E83 MSport 2007 with sat nav

I took me two weeks and a lot of googling to find the correct way to set up pairing mode to connect my phone so thought I would post it hear for others.

You will need your PX code found in the rear left panel on the module.

Unlock car sit in drivers seat put key in ignition *do not turn key*

Under arm rest top layer there is a hands free button (looks like some one speaking) press and hold for at least 2 seconds then turn ignition on whilst still holding button.

Nav screen will pop up as normal and should now say "pairing" connect phone using using Bluetooth search and all should be good.

I have a iPhone and it worked not a problem.
