Because he is a decent chap with a thorough knowledge of batteries and matters electrical.....
Ive done two 600 mile plus journeys this week, all running well, and presumably battery well charged etc. So would it now benefit, or not, to hook up the CTEK battery conditioner as Im aware that they dont just "charge" a battery. Or is a very long run simply good enough.
And I'll take answers from others too!

Question for X5 Sport
Re: Question for X5 Sport
Hooking up a CTEK is unlikely to do any harm as the units are 'intelligent' and it will only run in charge mode until it senses all is well and then move to the next stage.

Re: Question for X5 Sport
Thanks. Will it particularly benefit the battery in any way? Will it actually need conditioning?

Not with that amount of travel. If it starts and runs fine then it probably is fine.
I do 300 miles a week in my normal car and it doesn't need any 'assistance. My X only does 50 miles a week and with winter approaching (so lights, heated window etc), it will need topping up.
