Please identifily these part/plug for me?
Hi,
I am planning to install a rear view camera and I have read through all the thread but still not sure O:-)
I have a small screen up front with cassett tape slot, I am planning to wire in a camera which when power up it trigger the small screen infront to show the rear view.
If that is not possible then I will get a aftermarket unit which does it all, I have done similar with E46 M3 but it was a lot of pain and sweat as it needed 5M harness and lots of hacking (many years ago when chinese made unit are not ok)
I have removed the nav unit and CD changed today and put onto ebay, I found these plugs, what are they??
Thanks for reading

I think the top plug is to plug into the DSP amp if you had one. The blue one I don't know.

Black one I believe is to do with integrated telephone wiring....
Had this in mine and there were 2 cores go to the radio (phone audio I think black and black with white stripe but don't quote me!!) and 2 for microphone.
Mic wire will go to the square panel in the front cabin light enclosure just in front the glasses holder!!
I managed to splice the ULF into most of these...
Not entirely sure what the blue plug was for though but seem to remember a similar one on the other side too.

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Thanks for the reply
I have the 4:3 screen and there is no DSP function on screen, and I checked the rear right boot space there is no subwoofer.
Does it mean all I need is the headunit, 5-6m extension cable to install aftermarket? I will take out the head unit and also the boot to take some picture just to confirm there is no DSP etc. I have LPG installed and getting to the battery compartment is not straight forward...
install head unit, plug in 5M extension and route it to the boot, unplug the radio unit and plug in the other end of the 5M extension cable then job done>?

The blue one could be for the rear seat power adjustment option. Switches were at the passenger point in the back or just inside the rear hatch.
Great if fitted as allowed the rear seat rake to be adjusted. Loom made to fit everything even if not optioned onto the car.

Sounds about right.
All we need is someone like Sanj to clarify.
Didn't he retro fit rear power seats?
