X3 TV receiver?

Hi there I've just recently bought a 2005 x3 3.0d m sport and have some discovered some additional audio equipment in the boot which I hope you can help me with! It's got a soundlinx digital tv receiver wired with RCAs to a soundlinx av auxiliary adaptor. This has a loom that heads down the car and another loom which is connected to the sat nav dvd unit above it. The car is fitted with the standard bmw rotating screen in the dash which has sat nav, radio cd, info computer etc. Is it likely the TV is wired to the screen or more likely it has had after market screens fitted? With the wiring connected through the sat nav it makes me think it is connected to the current screen but I don't know how it would come on the screen as there is no tv option or auxiliary option. The TV receiver switches on with a hand held remote in the car but like said nothing happens on the screen. Hope you can help!!

Mine's a 2004 version with TV function, and when I first bought the car I could get reception.  To get to it, you had to go through the menu and there should be an option to select TV.
