Front sensors on my x5 2004 were going crazy, I think the previous owner got it washed before giving it to me and the sensors got crazy after i collected the car. Anyway, I checked and all were clicking front and rear but I was getting a continuous beep, they would work after I wiped them with a tissue but only for a few mins.
Yesterday I just sprayed them with WD40 and they have been behaving now....wow that was an easy fix.

Mines exactly the same,..I think its the damp wet weather as they worked perfect all the way up to December.
I replaced one of the rears as it had stopped clicking and had shorted out the whole lot front and rear. Now its happened again and sounds like one at the front is not ticking quite as loud as the rest. Strangely the rears are working okay but the fronts don't ! ? Think I will give the fronts a wee sniff of that wd40 too ...
