E53 D-Sport 218 Hp....
Can the AC pump be removed/replaced from under the vehicle, or is it only removable from above after stripping the exhaust manifold & turbo out of the way 1st ??
Another possibility ??...
Because the pump is such a bitch to remove, can it have a new clutch assembly fitted whilst still in the vehicle ?

h,i i bought an x5 e53 found the a/c clutch had burnt out, could'nt afford to change pump and , it may have had another problem aswell so i tack welded the pulley to the clutch housing easy enough to access, just a small l tack on opposite sides. then when cold weather comes grind off the small tacks ran it for 2 years no problem,

Hey Moose...
What a damned good idea... so simple, easy & so effective....
I'm up for that.
I will pull the Mig Welder out next week & will sort this
I bought a spare AC Compressor & was going to get it changed £150 to swap it out.... Now I can save £150 a while longer YAY
