My new F15- meet Maverick

Post by paddy wright » Sun Jan 22, 2017 8:21 pm

Well the E70 was traded in and now the proud owner of my F15.  The E70 was a great car and I drove to pick up the new one thinking have I done the right thing.  And having driven my F15 the answer is YES! The F15 improves on the E70 in just about every area!  Absolutely love it.
Great spec- 30D ///M sport, Multi-function instruments display,  Pan roof, HUD, camera, cold weather pack, 20" wheels and a host of other bits!

Love it! It really is a step up from my last X5 in terms of quality.  Everything feels so tight and well made.  I get excited to drive it every day! Thanks for the reply-glad to hear someone likes seeing my new car!

Many said the F15 was Fugly when it was first showed to the public. I've not read any such posts for a while.
I remember when the E39 5 series was one of my favourite looking cars. Then came the E60, YUCK I thought, who the hell is going to buy that !!!!
5 years latter I bought one and thought it was a fantastic car ( once I'd shed the Runflats )
I've seen loads of F15's on the road now, and I think they look the part.
Lovely motor, hope you enjoy tour ownership

I know what you mean- when they first came out I wasn't sure and preferred my e70 but they grown on me and now look so much more modern and fitting!  The finish is so much better as well.
They are very colour dependant though and the SE IMHO doesn't look great.

Looks great!

I just did the same yesterday and traded my E70 in for a F15. It was a bit of an impulsive purchase and I have had my pants pulled down on the part exchange but I can't wait till Thursday.

I agree with you on the better quality and tightness.
I don't think I will need to replace the runflats this time either as the ride is much softer than the E70.
F15 for the dogs, 996 C4S for road trips, Defender for the mud & E36 M3 for the track
