Glow controller

Hi all
Just got new Beru controller,  can anyone tell me what the round button thing is for on the front.  you can rotate it like a knob  tried to upload but wont let me,, im sure most diesel drivers will know what it is.

It's just a waterproof bung, just prized mine out with a spoon, on my old controller that is

Could it be a valve of sorts, ie if gets hot in there, it allows some to escape before the controller explodes from pressure, or perhaps so moisture can vent or some such thing?

Had the same thought when changed mine lol
2005 (55 plate) x5 3.0d sport, auto trans, nav tv thingy, but no dsp.

Under a turbo swap presently (fingers crossed it fixes her!)

Adjuster below it?  Used to final set the unit?

That's what I thought it might have been, when you look inside you can see the resin coating the PCB, the hole could be where they port in the resin to waterproof the unit.
