Glad its sorted Lee, but hope the EWS fault doesn't return....... at least you know the likely cause should it ever recur (hope not!!)

He said it was rare for the fault to happen in the way it did, usually happens when the battery is dead or the if key is left in the car ignition.

Although the car is now fixed I have a "feeling" that it may happen again in the future... I do not know why but I just have a feeling but like CondorX5 said I will more than likely know the cause and I am lead to believe it is not a big or expensive job to replace the EWS unit.

I love the car.. although I have had a few issues during my short period of ownership they were problems that could not be seen. I intend to keep my car for a good number of years, although my wallet hurts, I feel any money spent on her will allow my to understand the car better and I know that the jobs/repairs etc will have been done at a trusted garage.

I don't think I will ever get tired of hearing that V8 sound..... the way cars of today are shaping up the V8 will be a dying breed. So I fully intend to enjoy the car/sound until I am forced to switch :D
