Folks, I've had a rattle from the rear for the last few months which I assumed was caused by the boot. I spent the last few weeks adjusting the rubber bump stops but to no avail. Then at the weekend I opened the sunroof a little and the noise stopped. Sure enough, each time I have been driving it since and opened the sunroof the noise stopped immediately.
So its a rattle that sounds more like a click or tick- hard to describe exactly but it occurs when going over bumps!
Anyone ever had anything similar? Any idea where to look to try to sort it!? It stops as soon I open the sunroof, but I've literally no idea where to look and how to fix it!

Sunroof Rattle/Click
Re: Sunroof Rattle/Click
Have you searched the terms unroof on the forum. There have been loads of posts over the years. Mainly about leaks but there may be info there that helps. A new cassette is very expensive so hopefully it will be a simple fix....
Re: Sunroof Rattle/Click
Yes, had already searched on here but to no avail.
However I just searched on google too and it seems to be pretty common. I'll have a go when I get home tomorrow;

Re: Sunroof Rattle/Click
It may be that because the usual rear sunroof problem is that it jams and has to be disabled, or it fails and has to have a new cassette fitted at around £2k
