Window Tints - Pictures Anyone

Post by ttr » Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:52 pm

All,

My X5 E53 has standard glass all round, i would prefer a tint from the B pillar back but i do not want to go for the higher end of the spectrum ie limo black look (personal preference)

Has anyone gone for a 50% to 75% tint, ie the lighter end of the spectrum, i am looking to see what the difference in look from the outside appears like ?

Appreciate a picture may not show in the true sense but it may give me an idea, have tried to visualize using the tint scheme at the fitters but its difficult when inside.

Hope that makes sense and appreciate any info.

Will post some picture of last weekend work when i get chance.

Cheers all.

Well I know it's the e70 but always give you some clue.

Oem was 30%-40% i guess.

I have a dark tint on mine great for keeping prying eyes out of the car, the kids love it especially if watching dvds in the back! As it is behind the front seats it doesn't distract you either, could you go for a 65%tint as this maybe the answer.
Only problem is it is starting to lift on mine as it was on from new and needs redone. Also watch out or ask about using glass cleaner on it as it leaves a resedue on mine

Cheers mate that's the idea I wanted , good to see the oem and then your tint, it makes the difference easier to see, nice motor by the way saw it in your newbie intro.

I know what you mean, but I just prefer the lighter shades, no kids to consider now only my little furry mate!

Colin

Thanks for that, it helps to view pics - assume yours is on the darker end of the spectrum

Cheers for taking the time to reply , this is a great friendly forum.

Our black one has mega dark back windows that seem to be factory fitted as there is no tint film on them. Can barely see in the back from outside.
