Oh the joy

Post by henrym3 » Mon Jan 29, 2018 8:10 pm

Of getting to the valley pan, apart from replacing it all the other parts that now have to be replaced when there’s nothing wrong with them but you have to do it cos you don’t want to go back there. My sons X but I have a question, on the end of the injectors there is the O ring, then there is a plastic push on piece presumably to ensure the O ring comes out with the injectors this part is not listed in the parts catalog. Most are broken/cracked. I assume they’re not an essential part???Image

No definitely not that part, when you look at the bottom "O" ring (No6) it fits under it, there is a groove in the injector for the plastic piece to fit into. As the part isn't listed I assume it's not that important, just means the "O" ring will stay in the inlet manifold rather than on the injector after removal.
