Hi all just fitted new glow plugs and a new manifold all went well with no problems,
But now I can't  start the car , I have cleared all faults but still won't start ,
Can you advise please  >:( >:( >:(

E53 3.0 d inlet manifold plugs
2011 Kia Sorento KX3  2.2D 60 Plate Auto in black ( mine )
BMW E83 X3.  3.0d M Sport, 2008 in black ( now gone )
BMW E93 330i Convertible  Msport  2007.  ( Now sold )
VW Golf 2.0 TDI 140 GT 2010 ( now sold )

Have you plugged the injector rail power in again....I missed it once  :-[

One on the front and one on the back, I've even sprayed a bit of wd40 just in case sitll nothing

well... if it ran before you did the job & wont start now, then you can be pretty sure it will be some thing very simple & possibly so obvious that you are looking straight past it.

For my money it will be an electrical connection.

At the rear of the inlet manifold there is a connector that is easy to miss & leave un-connected.
its wiring is screwed to the rear right of the manifold (below left of the jump-start connection on the bulkhead) & is a real bitch to see & remove ....

I'm not sure what it is... maybe a cam or crank sensor... this could potentially stop it re-starting...

Have you missed this one ?

Ok I have tried or the plugs there all in and it still won't  start  :rant:

Any more ideas I can try,

Also should  I have taken the battery off when taking it all of and on again???

Ok so been looking at the car today and found a puddle of diesel on the floor, humm so check all over and found one of the leak

So off to bmw's  well they wanted £48 for a set , so I went to a diesel repair place and got on for £5 ,
Anyway  all fitted but still no start , it's trying but I'm just getting  a lot of white smoke and a flat battery  now,
Any thoughts
