Hi Colin

Yes the black vents look good against the blue bodywork definitely worth doing.

Great mods Colin, I've been looking at the Alpine headunit for my Kia Sorento.
I've had a couple of Chinese head units in the X5 and the Golf, but the Alpime unit seems to be in a different league.

Did my bonnet vents in the Titan silver as some models have,

Easy to remove but what a sod to get them back, the little clips are a sod to get back in along the bottom as you cant see them so as you press the two halves together you misalign the lower and snap  off they come, Take extra care if doing.

Grill at front i did the same,  OE Titan silver are around £150 plus a pair, aftermarket around £60 plus,
The outer chrome trim just unclips and the slotted vents ease out very easy,  watch out though for the bonnet catches. The retaining clips can be very gently prised up to allow it to come out, take care, as they do snap very easy.
Gave a good clean, plastic primer, paint and laquer and looks the real deal for £18.
To reassemble i found it easier to put the chrome trim in 1st,  then postion the vented grill from behind, easier also to have a friend press onto the chrome trim as it tends to pop out as you try to push against it.
