Fresh Suspension for the 4.6is

Post by V8 00USH » Mon Apr 09, 2018 10:05 pm

Just a few pics of my new suspension install whilst my X5 is off the road....

I decided to fit all my new shocks this weekend that I'd bought about 18 months ago that I kept forgetting I had.

Image

I had purchased new Bilstein shocks together with Eibach lowering springs, fresh Sachs bump stops, covers, top mounts & Febi bearings for the front end and new Sachs shocks, bump stops, boots and top mounts for the rears.

Assembled all the struts..

I know it's 'only' an old X5 but I couldn't help but protect my new springs..

Sand blasted the brackets, bolts and nuts and gave them a quick paint in satin black and then fitted everything.

Then had a test fit of my new 22" LeMans alloys that I need to either refurb myself or get powdercoated

Looking forward to getting it back on the road again now.

Eh up!

Nice attention to detail on the refurbished bits that. Spot on in my opinion.
Just started a wheel refurbishment on some 19 inch tiger claw alloys, opted for 2 pack rather than powder coat, it’s just the sanding that’s a drag,

Keep the pictures coming on your refit,

Cheers
