X1 alloys

Post by Dslff421 » Fri Nov 09, 2018 2:14 pm

Found alloys with winter tyres 5 x 112 that were on an Audi A6 and wondering if they would fit a 16 plate x1?  Wheel Size is 225/45/R18  Any advice would be great.

Thanks

In a word no, the Audi wheels probably have a different centre bore so may need machined out to fit which not many companies can do, the bolt angle is also different again they may need to be altered as Audi bolts are much flatter than the BMW. Lastly the wheels are a different width 7.5" on the BMW 8" on the Audi so they will stick out a further 12.5mm, the ET is also different BMW Et51 the Audi ET48 only 3mm but add it to the 12.5mm.
I sent you 2 different prices on ebay  any good? If your insurance found none oem wheels they may void your insurance. Pm me if you need any more help.

Thank you Sid 10, yes I found them on eBay but looking for used as they’re just for winter use so don’t want to spend a fortune just now as money is a bit short at the moment. Thanks again for ur expert advice Sid.

Try and find some winters to go on your wheels and try getting some alloys for April, that will give you some breathing room until then. Just make sure that the tyres are your car spec as 225 45 18 aren't right 225 50 18 are for your car I think.
When do you need them for and what is your budget?
