Tell me more, I have the same issue (not the same wife mind), but spots all round the house, they have indidual transformers per light. Can I use these LED ones direct or is there more too it? Any good links to buy from if its a straight swap?[/quote]

I could start a new thread on this, I might do it when I get back to the UK after the 17th August?

For now though, what do your bulbs look like?

A: Image

or

B: Image

They both look the same when in the spotlight but note the different pin connections... A: is for 240v and B: is for 12v.

I'm guessing that because you say your lights are running on transformers that they might be 12v and that means they aren't GU10.

If you have a Mk IV then go to the 'Nav Type' option on the Setup Display menu, set the Nav type to the correct type. Then go to the Setup Search option and select 'Advanced'.

Will do, bit confused by the versions, I have - 4-1/01 - not sure which option to choose in setup screen.

Thanks. Now - is it hard to route the cable up into centre console? Would love to use my iPhone instead of iPod.

Otto - go the Setup and select Search Options, in there you should be able to select Advanced - sorry all off memory so may be slightly different but that option gives you the better view.

This one is bit more tricky, all the wires you have are standard and should stretch:

1. Get the KCA to sit under the rear bench seat, there's a recess in the centre, should fit, mine did
2. The wires needs to be fed under the carpet to the centre console - take out the light in the rear footwell and get your hand in to bring the cable half way through
3. Each side of the console has side panels, these have the carpet on them you see, with a split in the middle. Front one has one screw in the front footwell either side, get that out and the panels then pop off
4. There is a screw either side of the base of the console right at the back, undo these and the console should be lose enough to push the rest of the wire through
5. Now take out the internal tray under the armrest, drill a hole big enough to feed the iPod connector cable through - now you have the iPod in the centre console.

That's a customised version of 4-1/00 (which is really 4-1/100 but there are only 2 characters of the software version displayed!), maybe POIsoN or custom splash screen.

You want "Mk4 >= 4-1/40". Selecting the 'Auto' option should detect it anyway.
