Oh and don't disconnect the battery and close the boot as it wont open again , had to crawl in through back seats and the full width boot board is almost impossible to get an arm around to the post :poke:

E70 3.0D cutting out

Got this back together today (injector 5 replaced ) after waiting for the bush for the manifold to arrive , the top one arrived quickly but the red rubber one took ages. Done 20 miles tonight and seems ok though only a matter of time till no 6 fails i guess as its out of resistance spec . I also pulled of the wing and swapped out the rear washer pump and now it works and the tank doesn't drain over the street any more . of course the 2 captive nuts in the wing were rotten and the squire clip siezed to it and spun round and damaged the mount :headbang: New squire clips on but one of the bolts that screw into the tank down the door pillar is a complete nightmare to get aligned and started. One of my headlamp washer rams sticks out and I tried to push it in /out and pulled the jet off :headbang: It has clipped back in but they don't seem very secure
While I had the gearbox cover off I noticed the transfer box steel cradle is bloody rotten too so it needs replaced for mot  oh and the tail light in the boot led is bust a while and of course you can only sort that with a new light :headbang: :fuelfire: Old cars are a pain although this is the newest car I own

also when i was putting it up on car ramps I have little assistor ramps for low cars that attach to the first rung of the ramp I used these to stop the ramps sliding forwards as the concrete was sloping downhill but guess what they are not rated for nose heavy x5 it seems as one bent like a banana as soon as the front wheel got on it
