Had the same problem and unfortunetly there are no LED bulbs that will fit. The only thing to do is to make the hole bigger via a drill bit. If you do decide to do this then I would advise on drilling at the lowest drill speed otherwise you'll scratch the clear plastic cover.

Hope this helps!

So you now have 2 options :D

Wilkoturbo:
Are we talking about the same bulb? The LED ones are slightly fatter in size than the originals and thats why mine would not fit through the hole and they are 501's

The 501 replacement LED bulbs are available and as above are a direct replacement with no drilling required. A couple of friend of mine have them and can supply. Ones SSDD and the other CDP. They can also get the complete interior led bulbs for the rest of the car too.

Lol, I think in fairness the newer smaller ones have only been available relatively recently really. The original ones were a little larger.

Hey Guys - Please let me know where I can get the interior LED kit. I'd also like to upgrade my angel eyes to LED look. What bulbs should I use?

I'll be in London around the 13th June - let me know.

wilkoturbo - are the 38mm LEDs a direct replacement for the OEM festoons (I ask since I note some websites offer 40 and 42 mm LEDs and claim direct replacement ability? )

Anything larger than 38mm will deffo not fit as the contacts won't stretch back far enough.
