Angel eyes

Post by kena » Fri May 20, 2011 8:52 pm

I fancy changing my angel eyes from the factory fitted yellow to the bright white. I've had a look on fleabay, but there seems to be all sorts of options from different people.
Anyone on here recommend a good quality replacement ???

As above or the m-tec ones from hids-direct.co.uk which are more expensive but I believe brighter.

Has anyone found a decent one for the H8 fitment? I've got te HIDS4U system on the E53 and would like to find something decent for the E71 that (a) works well, (b) doesn't need a second mortgage to buy and (c) will actually last and not overheat!

I have the PIAA ones in mine, far too expensive but they don't explode like the GP Thunder ones :/ nice and white and no errors.

I personally have the AiB V3's, which you don't want to know how much they were, but are brighter than most and have been used in my 530d, then my M5 and now the X5 with no problems at all.

Thanks guys,
I've had stuff from Hids-direct before and their customer service was spot on so think I will be giving them a call.
Thanks again.

I've just had angel eyes fitted at Indy service yesterday and delighted. Paid £34 on ebay and no probs at all (yet!).
Keen on converting the fog lights too - I find that they are pretty useless in fog anyway - so would like to make them LED as Wilkoturbo has done above.
Does anyone have any recommendations - is it bulb or are there any complete unit replacements?
Thanks in advance
