4.8is gets aFe Power Stage 2 Induction Kit

Post by Raj » Wed Jun 29, 2011 9:27 pm

Well, having got the X5 back from SCR, it was time to sort out the air intake side of the engine. It's taken 2 months to sort out the deal and get them shipped over direct from aFe.

Last Thursday was the day as wanted it fitted for Sunday's PBMW shoot. Took 2 hours in the dark....lol.

Anyway onto the pics:

The bricks are useful tools for obtaining the kits (but don't recommend it unless your an expert)....lol:

That looks fantastic..

Has it changed the sound of the engine? Any more throaty?

Also, would it have made any difference to have this fitted before Jason got his hands on it?

Cheers.

Certainly is more noticeable in sound.

The X certainly pulls more smoothly too.

I think that the ecu will adapt accordingly with the increased air flow so I don't think it would have made too much difference.
