Alloy Wheel Centre Caps

Post by UrbanFlow » Mon Jul 11, 2011 4:54 pm

Hello all,

Just bought a set of 4 genuine replacement BMW centre caps to go in my alloys as the others had gone weird and bubbly.
Dealer says pop them out from the back - but that means taking the wheels off!

Has anyone managed to pry them out without damaging their alloys?

I was thinking of carefully drilling a small hole and hooking them out! Bad idea?

Any tips appreciated.

Yes, either drill a hole in middle and stick your screwdriver in, or use a bradle or similar to get them out. I don't remember them being difficult to get out.
Just out of interest, what did the new ones set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Just pop them out with a screwdriver or similar. The oe ones aren't too bad to get out. I didn't take the rims off to get them off to replace.

Cheers for the replies.
I got them from Sytner BMW Sheffield - they have an eBay page:

They cost £36.95 for 4.
