Now what!!!

Post by ITBarbie » Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:49 pm

Just spent 5 hours on motorway in traffic to get to Birmingham and when I've got out the car I can clearly see that the left back of the car appears to be sitting really high off the arch. Really not sure what to do :-(

I said before that I kept hearing a click when I went to apply the breaks but could this be related. I've read so much self level horror stories but have no warning message on dash and have to say I'm unsure what to do.

Looks like I'll have to get it back to London and get it into an Indy :-(

Don't really expect any diagnosis just wanted to vent!!

Sorry to learn of this.

Frustrating when cars that get spoilt & cared for more than others decide to punish our finances.

I would try removing relevant fuse(s) then refitting and starting up engine again.

No idea if this is a good or bad thing to do so maybe proceed to try this at own risk if so motivated &/or if others regard this as low risk approach.

In likely event this doesn't help then I would be booking it to a good indy.

Hi Sanj

That's cool can wait. Just got out of the Travel Lodge (I'm cheap!) and it's sitting normally now. Will have to wait and see how it fairs.

Off out tomorrow so will see how it behaves. Get the wine ready for next week as I'll be there :-)

Good girl!

Chk when you start it up. The compressor may go crazy and lift it too high. That will prove sensor.

Hope you can't hear a leak in the suspension bags.

Now to see if Jason is still coming!

Hi Penny
my X did that not so long ago when i was travelling to London.
Turned out to be the self levelling sensor on the rear suspension.
Cost from my Indy was £170 to replace it.

Just wanted to say that it has behaved itself really well since :headbang:

Oh well we will just have to see. I remember what you said Kena and I even revisted your post whilst I was away to remind myself. I told you it was always useful to know
