Post by mikeyh » Tue Aug 02, 2011 1:10 pm

i have the common fault where the radio keeps turning itself off so rather than arse about tracing rusty connectons,
i thought about just putting in a new clarion headunit i had in it.

but looking at the back of the satnav its not the normal plugs

Apart from de-valuing your car, I wouldn't recommend it. They just don't look right even with a very good facia.

I know its a few weeks late but just in case you are still considering this - don't bother. If you have the monitor headunit, then that means you will need to run a cable from the new HU to the boot area to pick up the connections. This is because the screen is a monitor only and the radio & amp are located in the boot - so you will find no speaker wires up front like you would expect with most cars.

When you say radio keeps turning off, do you mean sound cuts out but everything else is still on and working as normal, just without sound?
