self levelling suspension

does my 2002 3.0 petrol have it? was it standard fitment?how do you know if it is fitted?

Standard on ALL UK spec E53 X5's... Look under the spare for a helmet shaped dome, that's your compressor for the rear suspension. Blue and red air pipes coming out of it.

thanks,I've heard there are different settings,ie lower for entry,higher for off road,how is this adjusted?

Ride height adjustment is only available on cars with air suspension ALL round, not just the rears. And those are the 'is' versions.

Any diesel, 3.0 or 4.4 litre petrol will only have rear air suspension, so no ride height adjustment.

have a look they dont all have it! my mates 3.0d is a low spec 06 and its on coil springs!
