2008 E70 iPod and LED question

Post by Buster » Thu Sep 15, 2011 3:20 pm

Well I've just traded my E53 in for an 08 plate E70.

It doesn't have the USB port for connecting my iPod up, it does have a 6 disc CD changer in the glove box. What is the best way to connect my iPod up?

Also what bulbs/LED's are best for changing the angel eye yellow bulbs to white?

Anyone?

Spoke to the local BMW dealer who quoted me £680 :o to get the ipod interface fitted in place of the 6 disc changer, surely there must be a cheaper option to getting the ipod hooked up?

Think you might want to go for the Dension 500. Avtar has had it in his - drop him a PM but he may not reply immediately...

Think you might have the fibre optic malarkey... But not sure tho. :|

Have a look over at bimmerretrofit.com - you'll need to register to get the downloads - as they have the BMW Installation Manual for that mod/kit. It's a 2.5 hour job and depends upon what else you have in the vehicle. As Sanj suggested, there is a fibre optic link too, just to add to the fun!!

Sanj is indeed correct i have the dension which was fitted by Jason (B&W Autos) and it works great as well as letting you retain the 6 cd changer.
