cheers Sanj,there is a bracket that runs the length of the car and both light unit and dvd are supported by this,the dvd is very light too,the roof lining also is structurally strong as it is lined for most of its surface area with very thick sound deadening material(there is no sunroof in my car)so yes very rigid.
If anyone is thinking of doing this you will need to be a competent diy'er obviously,whether you would be able to do it in a car with a sunroof I dont know.
If anyone does decide to take the plunge and wants any advice just ask,I have no problem with having a chat on the phone
it does obstruct the view from the rear view mirror a bit altho you can see underneath and to the sides of the unit
