Hi All,
Im new here. Great site. Need some advice please.
On saturday I opened the roof and it was fine, closed it and got out of the car, and noticed the rear roof was up from one side. Being the smart a$$ I am, i tried to fix it by pulling the front panel out and over rear and slide front panel back. Bad move, ruined the rubber.
Anyway, today i managed to pop front panel into place, and slid front panel back ( under back panel as it should be) but NOW it wont close. I tried removing the rubber, and its still stuck.
The way I sorted it was to slide each side bit by bit at rear until rear was closed, then popped front panel back down, and pressed button back to slide front panel back to open roof fully. Did i miss something? Ive read I can manually close the front roof using the key in trunk, Im going to go to the garage in the morning and try that before he works on the car and rips me off.
Ive dropped it to a mechanic, but hes expensive. Ive been quoted 800+VAT from a roof place in Dorking. I know the casette isnt messed up, else it wouldnt go through the motions.
Please help......

Re: Pano roof stuck OPEN, not rear vent.....
So update from Mechanic is, its still stuck, replaced part number 54137118849 and its still not closing. Now hes saying the back part for the rear panel is damaged, and when the front panel is trying to close it gets stuck.
Im at my wits end, hes had it 4 days and is a BMW specialist Indy. Paid 180 for the part, and labour costs will be expensive.
Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this issue? I cant do the rear panel disable as the front panel wont slide close afterwards..... : (
