WANTED Bmw E53 scanner near east london

So you can unlock any features I have using this equipment? How much?

Also can you issue and programme new keys?(mine are old style keys not new type keyless type)

StewieG those keys won't work on the E53 X5's. The new keys have the transponders which fit into a recess in the dash on newer BMWs and then the push button start/stop.

TIP: If you're the only driver, swap the keys at least once a month, they have a rechargeable 9V battery inside that only charges off the ignition barrel. More than 1 to 2 months and they stop working and then prove difficult to recharge (expensive fix, unless you use Jason)!

No I'm aware they won't work sanj. I should have said I only have one key and would like a 2nd and so was asking Jason if he could issue another key.

As far as I'm aware you won't be able to. The EWS transponder piece is moulded into the key, that is unique to your car and what starts the car. But you may be able to buy a blank and get the 3 buttons to work (using Jason's coding). That would be a great as a backup if you lock the one key in the car BUT you 're then stuck with no recharge to that blank key (as it won't fit the barrel and the car would only charge the key when running)...

i managed to make these keys years ago with the ews working on the car
only normal do this when some one have swapped all the ews and ecu from another car as they cant get a replacement key from the dealers

it dose take me a good few hours to go through the coding so i can find the key info i need to make a new key that will start the car
