The Install begins

Post by Raj » Tue Nov 29, 2011 11:08 pm

Well, as Mitch asked I feel compelled to add the first couple of pics...

Finally got the X5 into my very good friend Bal at Bal's Car Audio in Brum. He has doen the installs on the last 8 cars I've owned....lol as just said that out loud...damn.

Oh well, I wouldn't let anyone else loose on my pride and joy as he has been in the business for about 30 years and had countless customer cars featured.

I myself don't like in ya face installs as it has to look clean and stealthy (so to speak) but it's all about the clarity.

Finally gtting the AC Schnitzer centre console fitted:

And the strip out begins:

Hopefully I keep getting the opportunity to pop down throughout the process to keep you updated...

If anyone is interested in any of the OE setup let me know. Will post up in the for sale section, butbasically I've got the OE widescreen headunit, tv module (but it is analogue), CD interchanger...

Hi Raj

Do you have contact details for Bal please, I'm only in Quinton and will be looking for a serious audio upgrade after Christmas and would rather use someone recommended?

So looking forward to this too. Been waiting a year lol.

The ACS trim really makes the interior. Hopefully get over to him and get some pics soon.

@Max - will let you know and hook up.

Don't normally like non-OEM trims but that is smart!

I know what you mean as some non oem trims can look out of place but you just can't beat real CF. it made a huge difference over the standard Titan trim.

Have a couple of pics from last Thursday. Unfortunately Bal has been very ill over the last couple of weeks and so not much progress has taken place.
